Baud-rate conversion
Connect equipment operating at 4800, 9600, 38400 or 115200 bps.

KCT NMEA SERIES
KCT-HB4P is an RP2040-based programmable hybrid buffer that converts, filters and distributes NMEA 0183 data in one compact unit.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Two NMEA 0183 inputs are processed according to the mode selected by the eight-pin DIP switch and distributed over four outputs. It resolves baud-rate, output-interval, talker-ID and sentence-format differences during equipment replacement or expansion.
Connect equipment operating at 4800, 9600, 38400 or 115200 bps.
Down-sample or repeat the latest sentence at the interval required by the receiving equipment.
Convert talker IDs and sentences, such as GPHDT to HEHDT.
Pass required sentences, reject unwanted data and generate requested sentences.

DIP MODE EXAMPLES
Outputs the received NMEA sentence without conversion.
Example: converts 4800 to 9600 bps.
Example: converts a 1 Hz stream to 0.5 Hz.
Example: converts GPHDT talker/sentence to HEHDT.
Example: passes only selected HDT and RMC sentences.
Input/output specifications and mode assignments may be configured for each project.
NMEA 0183 TEST & COMMISSIONING UTILITY
KCT's Raspberry Pi Pico browser utility generates heading, position, date and time sentences. Select baud rate and output interval, then monitor real-time status and logs to verify HB4P conversion, filtering and distribution in the field.
